About UNCP's Psychology Club

The Psychology Club here at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke is a very young organization. This chapter of the organization and its current executive board started in early September 2015, after a few years hiatus. Working under the Student Involvement and Leadership organization, this club is a student-run group dedicated to enhancing the social and educational opportunities of students majoring or minoring in psychology, or are just interested in the subject!
According to the "Acquired Needs Theory," every individual has a subconscious need for either power, achievement, or affiliation. In the psychology department, and specifically in the Psychology Club, not only do we learn about these needs, but we also implement them. Each of these needs fit perfectly into our organization! Power and achievement-motivated students work nicely in officer positions, while affiliation-motivated students will flourish as committee heads!
No matter your need, major, or student status, we in the Psychology Club welcome you to be apart of our amazing organization! Any student here at UNCP can join us, and we welcome diversity!
